Metro customers can refer friends once they have been a customer for at least 30 days. To qualify, the person you refer must accept your referral, bring their number over from another qualifying carrier and sign up for new Metro service within 15 days. Current Metro, T-Mobile and Sprint customers cannot be referred, and neither can anyone who was a Metro customer in the past 180 days. Rewards are capped at $125 per year. Join the program on the Metro site. Good people to refer are friends or relatives on pricey postpaid plans, students and anyone who wants a straightforward monthly prepaid plan.
