What it does
The eBay Partner Network pays you a share of what eBay earns when your traffic results in a sale, across a marketplace of 136 million buyers in 190 markets. Its value is inventory no one else has: rare collectibles, out of production parts, trading cards, vintage fashion and refurbished electronics that simply do not exist in a retailer's catalogue.
Rates are set by category and generally run from about 1 percent on electronics to 3 or 4 percent on fashion and collectibles, with earnings caps applied per transaction so a single high value sale will not pay proportionally. Charity listings and some promotional deals pay little or nothing. The attribution rules are unusual: a Buy It Now purchase must happen within 24 hours of your click, while an auction counts if the bid is placed within that 24 hours and won within 10 days.
You earn on any qualifying purchase the buyer makes after clicking, not only the item you linked to, which softens the short window. There is an eBay Ambassador track for social first creators in the US and UK, and a technical integration route with APIs and feeds for larger sites.
Worth joining if your niche is secondhand, collectible or hard to find. If you cover new retail products, general retailers will pay better.
