What it does

Skimlinks is a sub-affiliate network. Instead of applying to hundreds of merchant programs, you add one script (or use the editor and API) and Skimlinks turns your existing product links into tracked affiliate links across 48,500 merchants on more than 50 networks. It is owned by Taboola and used by 23 of the top 25 publishers, which tells you its home turf: editorial commerce content at scale.

The trade is simple. Skimlinks negotiates rates, aggregates the tracking and pays you, and keeps 25% of each commission; you keep 75%. Because it holds preferred relationships with many merchants, the net rate is sometimes better than you would get alone and sometimes worse. Check specific merchants in the Hub before you move a high-earning link off a direct program.

Payments arrive once a month after cleared commissions pass $65, €55 or £50. Merchants take up to 60 days to approve sales, so the practical delay from click to cash is around 90 days. The Hub and APIs provide analytics down to the link, and Skimlinks Editor lets writers find products and links while drafting.

Skimlinks is the right fit for a site with lots of product mentions and no time to manage programs. A niche site with a few high-value merchants should still join those programs directly.
