Overview

The network formerly known as VigLink: automatic affiliation across 50,000+ merchants with real-time link optimisation.

What it does

Sovrn Commerce is what VigLink became after Sovrn bought it in 2018. It does the same job as Skimlinks: one integration monetises the product links you already publish across more than 50,000 merchants, with Sovrn handling merchant relationships, tracking and payment. Approval takes about a day.

Two features distinguish it. Link optimisation sends each click to the merchant network paying the best rate at that moment, so the same link can route differently over time. AI-driven galleries and price comparisons recommend related products and show alternative retailers, which spreads revenue across merchants and keeps readers on the page when one store is out of stock. CPA and CPC programs both exist, so some links earn on clicks rather than sales.

Publishers keep 75% of commissions and Sovrn keeps 25%. Payments run net-90 from the end of the month the commission was earned, with a $25 threshold for PayPal, ACH, cheque and eCheck and $50 for wire. Integration options include a JavaScript tag, APIs, a dashboard link builder, a Chrome extension and an iOS app, and full-funnel reporting shows revenue per page and link.

Sovrn Commerce and Skimlinks overlap heavily. Run both on a test page and compare net rates on the merchants that matter to you; the answer differs by category.
