QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program

The QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program is Intuit's program for accounting professionals who work with QuickBooks. It is free for everyone using QuickBooks Online Accountant, and it is one of the most common credentials for bookkeepers and accountants serving small businesses.

The program runs on points. You earn points for the QuickBooks accounting, payroll and self-employed clients you manage and for the certifications you hold, and your points total places you in one of four tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum or Elite. New members start at Silver, and certifications such as the Advanced QuickBooks Online certification add a large number of points.

Benefits focus on software and discounts rather than commission. ProAdvisors get QuickBooks Online Advanced and QuickBooks Workforce for their own firm at no cost, along with discounts on other software, services and supplies. Discounts on client subscriptions increase as you move up the tiers, which lets firms either pass savings to clients or improve their margins.

ProAdvisors also get free training and certifications, dedicated support and a profile in Intuit's ProAdvisor directory, where small businesses look for accountants.

It suits accountants and bookkeepers who work mainly with QuickBooks clients. Intuit also runs a separate affiliate program for publishers who recommend QuickBooks.
