AWS Marketplace for Sellers

AWS Marketplace lets software companies sell to Amazon Web Services customers, who buy through their existing AWS account and bill. For B2B software vendors, that can shorten procurement, because many large companies have committed AWS spend they can use on Marketplace purchases.

Listing is free. Fees apply only when a transaction settles. Since January 2024, AWS charges a 3% listing fee on public offers for software as a service. For private offers, which are negotiated deals for specific customers, the fee depends on the deal size: 3% for deals under $1 million in total contract value, 2% for deals between $1 million and $10 million, and 1.5% for deals of $10 million or more.

Sellers can publish public listings, create private offers with custom pricing and terms, and work with resellers through channel partner private offers, where a consulting partner or reseller sells your product through Marketplace to their own customers. Marketplace listings can also support co-selling with AWS's sales teams through its partner programs.

To start, you register as a seller, set up tax and banking details and submit your product for review.

It suits B2B software companies, especially those selling to mid-market and enterprise customers already on AWS, and resellers and consultancies that want to transact through AWS for their clients.
