Squarespace Circle

Squarespace Circle is Squarespace's program for web designers, developers and agencies who build sites for clients. It is free to join, and its benefits grow as you build more sites on the platform.

Circle works on points, earned through the subscriptions tied to your account. Gold status needs 1,000 points, roughly four or five yearly subscriptions, and Platinum needs 5,000, roughly twenty. Squarespace says less than 1% of Circle members reach Platinum.

The main benefits are discounts and commissions. Circle partners get a discount on new annual subscriptions, starting at 10% and rising to 20% at Gold and 25% at Platinum. Gold and Platinum partners become eligible for Squarespace's referral payments, earning commissions for new client subscriptions, with larger commissions at higher tiers. Gold also extends free trial periods for client sites to six months, which gives more time to build before the client pays. Platinum partners get priority support, with fast response times.

Partners also get access to Circle's community and resources for growing a web design business.

It suits freelance designers and small studios that regularly build Squarespace sites for clients and want better pricing and a share of the subscriptions they bring in. If you create content about Squarespace instead, its affiliate program is a better fit.
