The WooCommerce Marketplace is the official store for WooCommerce extensions, themes and integrations, used by millions of store owners running online shops on WordPress. Getting a product listed puts it in front of an engaged audience actively looking for ways to add features to their stores.

Joining takes three steps: create a partner profile, submit your product with detailed information, demo links and test instructions, and pass Woo's review. The review checks functionality, security, compatibility and user experience, and you may receive feedback and requests for changes before approval.

Once listed, official partners can get extra exposure through features in Woo's newsletters, social media and blog, and opportunities to collaborate with other businesses in the ecosystem. Woo also provides insights and feedback to help partners improve their products.

The marketplace works on a revenue share. Woo doesn't publish the split on its partner page, but third-party sources report that vendors receive 70% of sales, so confirm the current terms during your application.

Selling through the marketplace means you rely on Woo for billing and distribution, while selling directly from your own site means keeping everything but finding customers yourself. Many developers do both.
