Overview

Salesforce's partner program for consultancies and software companies, with Select and Summit tiers for consultants and AppExchange for apps.

About the program

The Salesforce Partner Program is one of the largest B2B partner ecosystems. It has two main tracks: consulting partners, who plan, implement and customise Salesforce for customers, and independent software vendors, who build apps and list them on AppExchange, Salesforce's marketplace.

For consulting partners, Salesforce simplified its tiers in 2026, replacing the older Base, Ridge, Crest and Summit levels with two tiers. Select Partner confirms baseline delivery capability, while Summit Partner is reserved for firms with verified customer outcomes, high customer satisfaction and proven expertise in priority areas such as Agentforce and Data Cloud. Consultancies need certified Salesforce professionals on their team, and Salesforce's Trailhead platform provides the training and certifications.

Software companies follow a separate journey, from registering and exploring to building, launching and scaling an app. Apps go through a security review before they are listed on AppExchange, and Salesforce takes fees and a revenue share on app sales, so check the current commercial terms for your listing.

Salesforce does not publish a simple revenue share for consulting partners, and terms vary by track and region.

It suits established Salesforce consultancies and software companies that want to sell to Salesforce customers, rather than freelancers looking for a light referral program.
