Xero App Partner Program

The Xero App Partner Program is for software companies that build integrations with Xero and list them on the Xero App Store, where small businesses and their accountants look for apps that connect to their accounting.

To become a certified app partner, your app goes through a review, and you need at least three active customer connections within a 30-day period while it is reviewed. Certification gets your app listed on the Xero App Store.

The commercial model changed in 2026. Previously, Xero took a 15% revenue share on subscriptions from customers who signed up through the Xero App Store, either paid by the partner or deducted when Xero billed customers directly. From March 2026, Xero retired that revenue share model and introduced API pricing tiers: Starter, Core, Plus, Advanced and Enterprise. For new partners without their own billing set up, Xero offers a Billing API that lets it bill customers directly.

It suits software companies serving small businesses and accounting firms, such as payments, payroll, inventory, reporting and practice management tools, that need to read and write Xero data. Xero also runs a separate program for accounting practices, listed on Afflemi as the Xero Partner Program.
